This is the story about how the fabulous team of people at Ulverston Permaculture Project made compost in just 18 days! We hired in the experts from Laya Point Permaculture to come and teach us. We opened the course to the public and had a great day learning about the food soil web, hot composting and we built a wormery too.
This week the weather has been so hot and there is so much ripening and ready in the garden. It is a continual stream of moving between the kitchen and the garden as I aim to harvest and store as much as possible and at the same time, enjoy the fresh food as well.

Fantastic week in the garden. The weather has been glorious, lots of sunshine and new life. The magnolia tree is budding, there is blossom on the apricot and I have seen a ladybird and a bee already.
