Vegan Energy Treat Bars

These are so easy to make and will keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks.  They are tasty, healthy and bursting with all kinds of nutrients including protein.  They are perfect for athletes or just for those times when you feel like you need a boost.

Vegan Energy Treat Bars
High energy, loaded with nutrition and really yummy. Sugar free, gluten free, raw and vegan. They are so fast to make too. What's not to love?

  1. 20 large pitted dates
  2. 50 g ground almonds
  3. 50 g mixed nuts- walnuts, cashews, pecans or whatever you have to hand
  4. 40 g raw cacao
  5. 5 Tbsp of ground hemp seeds
  6. 2 Tbsp of chia seeds
  7. 1 Tbsp of mac powder
  8. 2 Tbsp of nuts and seeds
  9. 25 g of dried cranberries
  10. 25 g of dried blueberries
  1. Whiz everything apart from the last 3 ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Mix in the last 3 ingredients and mix well with your hands until it all forms a dough ball
  3. Grease a 8 x 8 tin
  4. Press the mixture into the tin evenly and flatly
  5. Place in fridge for half an hour
  6. Remove and cut into bars
  7. Put it back in the fridge to store (if there is any left!)
