Painting The Shed

This shed is on its last legs.  This summer I decided to see if we couldn’t get a bit longer out of it.  Part of the pleasure of gardening for me, is creating beautiful things and spaces without spending much money.

The garden teaches me that the simple things in life bring me the greatest pleasures.

Colours are so important in the garden and they help us to find peace and to de-stress.

I decided that in order to make friends with my shed that I would have to find just the colour.  This vintage blue that I chose looked stunning beside the pink and white clematis when they were cascading down the side of the shed.

This particular plant is as beautiful as it is prolific and vigorous to say the least.  It takes over and needs to be cut back regularly.  This year I pulled some out of a Silver Birch tree, it had climbed about 25 feet.

My shed now looks fab and I love it!
